Recipe of Italian Fried Rice
The ingredients of the recipe are as under;-
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 small zucchini, cut in half
- ½ medium yellow onion, finely chopped
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- Your choice of veggies
- A pinch of salt
- Crushed red pepper
- ¼ teaspoons of dried oregano
- 1 cup cooked brown rice
- Balsamic vinegar
- Fresh basil leaves
- Crumbled goat cheese
- Sliced toasted almonds
This recipe is mainly for two people. However, it can vary according to the number of heads. First, heat one teaspoon of olive oil on medium flame. Put the sausages in the hot and shimmering oil and cook till brown for about five minutes and set aside. Now add the remaining two teaspoons of olive oil into the pan. Mix all the veggies like zucchini, bell pepper, onion, etc. and toss it for 5 minutes. Cook till the vegetables are tender and slightly brown. Add, oregano, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper. Mix everything well. After that, add the sausages to this mixture and stir well. Also, add the initially cooked brown rice and cook for some more minutes on low heat. When your rice looks well-cooked, add a bit of balsamic to give it a sweet and savory taste.
Toss and mix all the ingredients for another 2-3 minutes until it is piping hot. Now your Italian fried rice is ready to eat. Serve the dish topped with basil leaves, goat cheese, and sliced almonds. Additionally, you can put other toppings or nuts of your choice to enhance its beauty. It takes around 25 minutes in total to prepare this rice for serving two persons.
